Jon Fleischman

Jon Fleischman is the President of the Fleischman Consulting Group, a strategic consulting firm specializing in governmental and political affairs on the local, state and national levels.  The firm provides strategic counsel, crisis communications and media relations consulting services. Additionally the firm has extensive experience with directing political Internet strategies.

Fleischman's hands-on political experience is extensive. During President George W. Bush's election to the White House, he served as Executive Director of the California Republican Party. Jon has served as statewide campaign manager for a statewide Republican candidate and as statewide coordinator for a successful ballot measure campaign. He has worked professionally or as an advisor for countless successful campaigns for candidates for Congress, the legislature, City Councils as well as local school boards. He is familiar with all facets of management and administration of candidate and issue campaigns, as well as party organizations. A former President of the statewide California Republican Assembly volunteer organization, Jon has served as an elected member of the Orange County Republican Party Central Committee since 2004.

In addition to his political experience, Fleischman has extensive government experience at the federal, state and local level. Jon served as a Special Assistant to United States Congressman Ed Royce. He has worked at the State Capitol in Sacramento as a consultant to the Assembly Republican Caucus, in Orange County as Special Assistant to State Senator John Lewis, and as an appointee of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as a member of the California Boating and Waterways Commission (Jon was unanimously confirmed for this position by a vote of the California State Senate).

At the local level, Fleischman's experience is significant, starting with his nearly six years serving as Deputy Director for Public Affairs and Media Relations for the Orange County Sheriff's Department from 2001-2006 as an appointee of Sheriff Mike Carona. He served for a time as an aide to Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antononich.  He also served as Chairman of the Planning Commission in the City of Irvine and also served on his city's Transportation and Community Services Commissions. 

Fleischman has substantial experience in issues and initiatives management, extensive coalition-building, and directing State Republican Party issue and candidate campaigns. 

Since 2001, Fleischman has been the publisher of The FlashReport, a successful e-newsletter and now-website on California politics that is well read and respected by opinion leaders throughout California and the nation.

Jon received his Bachelor of the Arts Degree from California State University Fullerton.
